Partnerships

CIUM could not have become a reality without the support of our partners in China: Hanban (汉办Chinese Language Council International) and Renmin University of China (人民大学 People’s University Of China).

Hanban is the executive body of the Chinese Language Council International, a non-governmental and non-profit organization affiliated with the Ministry of Education of China. Hanban is committed to making Chinese language and culture teaching resources and services available to the world, and to contribute to the formation of a world of cultural diversity and harmony.

China Conservatory of Music & Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing

The primary Chinese partner of the CIUM is the Renmin University of China. Since 2009 when the partnership was established, both institutions have closely worked together, cooperating toward numerous exchange activities. To further expand the exchange program between U-M and China, CIUM signed agreements with the China Conservatory of Music and the Academy of Fine Arts in 2013, through which we hope to create more opportunities for collaboration and exchange programs.
