Premiered in the fall of 2014, “Electric Shadows” is a contemporary Chinese film series, which features recent produced Chinese films, ranging from romantic comedy to science fiction. All screenings are free and open to the public.
Sponsored by the Confucius Institute and Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies at U-M, Electric Shadows: 2017 Contemporary Chinese Film Series will feature six exciting Chinese films released in recent years.
Curated by Professor Sangjoon Lee from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, this year’s film series will screen Duckweed 乘风破浪(2017), Xuanzhang 大唐玄奘(2016), Trivisa 树大招风(2016), Soul Mate 七月与安生 (2016), Wolf Totem 狼图腾 (2016), and The Summer is Gone 八月 (2016). All film screenings will be with English subtitles and held at the Angell Hall Auditorium B.
